Piercing Aftercare

Saline spray is your best friend for healing! My favorite is NeilMed Piercing Aftercare (You can buy some here or here). Spraying first thing in the morning and right before bed is most important but if you are active, be sure to spray after. I always say to spay after you shower, and after you do any skincare or hair care because you don't want any product left over in the tunnel of the piercing.

The most important thing during healing is DO NOT TOUCH your new piercing! I can't emphasize this enough. You do not want to spin, rotate, or toggle your jewelry at all. Try not to sleep on the side of your fresh piercing

to avoid too much movement and pressure.

Alternatively, you can create your own saline soak using 1 gallon of distilled water and 4 teaspoons on non-iodized salt. Mix the salt directly into the gallon of water. Pour a little of this solution into a shot glass or small cup (option: heat up for 3-5 seconds in the microwave to make it body temp. You don't want it too hot!) and completely submerge your piercing for 7-10 minutes. Twice a day if this is your the only method of cleaning you are using or just once at night if you are using it with a saline spray. { I recommend to do this for nipple and naval piercing in addition to the saline spray. } This soak allows your piercing to fully soften and penetrate deeper than the saline spray can.

I do not recommend using anything other than saline on your new piercing.

Do not pick at or play with your new tooth gem!!

You should not eat or drink anything other than water for the first 2 hours. The curing process for the adhesive bond can take up to 48-72 hours, so it is important to avoid hard foods and candies, as well as any foods high in acidity for the first 2 days.

Alcohol is to be avoided for the first 12 hours. Although smoking is allowed, it is important to remain hydrated.

It is best not to brush directly over the gem for the first 12 hours and do not use an electric toothbrush for the first 48 hours. You can resume proper dental hygiene after 48 hours. But you should always brush gently over the tooth gem to avoid any damage or risk of removing the tooth gem.

Tattoo Aftercare

Wash your tattoo with Dial Gold (or another unscented antibacterial hand soap), apply unscented shea butter, and wrap your tattoo with plastic wrap the first night. Wash in the morning and continue to apply shea butter throughout the day. It is essential to never let your tattoo dry out! Wash 2-3 times throughout the day and apply shea butter each night until healed.

Handpoke: Usually, your new hand poke tattoo will heal in about 3-5 days but you can experience dryness for up to 2 weeks. Keep the area as hydrated as possible with shea butter

Machine: I do recommend wrapping your new tattoo for the first 2-3 nights. It will heal in about 2 weeks but may have signs of dryness for up to 3-4 weeks. Keep applying shea butter to keep it moisturized.
